The Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, hosted the 14th EU-REAL Conference between 4th and 5th of September 2017. The idea was to follow the Regional Economics Applications Laboratory mission, seeking “to provide timely, high quality analytical economic information for a variety of uses such as public policy decision making by public sector agencies and for strategic marketing in the private sector”.
The presentation related to IMAJINE project took part in a plenary session of the EU-Real Conference. The title of the presentation was “Regional economic convergence in European regions: a spatial quantile regression approach”, and it was presented by Italian IMAJINE researchers from Ud’A.
In the two days, some key issues related to the aim of the main project were discussed in the main social events of the conference. The themes of the Project were brought to the attention of experts in the field, including former Director of Regional Economics Application Laboratory, Prof. Geoffrey J.D. Hewings.
The conference provided feedbacks to the preliminary works of WP3 and promoted activities linked to other Partners. Additionally, during the other sessions of the Conference, many contribute in the field of spatial inequalities were presented. Those presentations were strongly linked to WP3 as well as to other packages (particularly WP2).
