IMAJINE at the “Coping with uneven development in Europe” conference in Leipzig

The IMAJINE researchers Michael Woods (AU), Rhys Jones (AU), Sami Moisio (HU), and Mikko Weckroth (HU) participated and made a joint presentation in the “Coping with uneven development in Europe” conference held in Leipzig (Germany). The conference suited very well to the aims of the IMAJINE project as it was aimed to develop socio-economic and political responses to regional polarization in Europe. The results from project’s Deliverable 1.1 were presented under a title “Re-conceptualising Regional Inequalities and the Prism of Social Justice: Critical perspective on Academic and Policy Discourse”, in a paper session Chaired by Frank Meyer (IfL).

The presentation raised lots of interest and discussion among participants and eventually led to an invitation from IfL team to turn the key ideas into book chapter in an edited volume summing up the the Reg2Pol project.
