The 59th European Regional Science Association Congress (ERSA), organized by the University of Lyon in France at the end of August 2019, was a place where the presentation related to the IMAJINE project took part.
In the Special Session on “Recent Trends in Regional Socio-Economic Inequalities”, the Ud’A member gave a presentation on “Identifying agglomeration and location patterns of economic activities: a spatial inequality-based measure” (Domenica Panzera, Alfredo Cartone, Paolo Postiglione). The paper concerns the definition of a new measure of geographical concentration of economic activities which account for the spatial associations between observations collected at near sites. An empirical analysis focused on Italian NUTS 3 regions is used to illustrate this measure.
