Based on data from the IMAJINE project survey, research fellow Linda Basile from the University of Siena held a lecture on 14th of June 2022 at Humboldt University in Berlin entitled “When health goes local: individual support for decentralization of health policy and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic”.
The paper was about the likely impact of the perceived regions’ performance on health policy and management of COVID-19 on public preferences for the decentralization of health. The preliminary findings show how people rate regions’ performance over the long and short (i.e. Covid-19) term on health policy affects preferences on decentralization. However, there are different patterns across countries.
