Ud’A IMAJINE researchers attended the 49th Scientific Meeting of the Italian Statistical Society in Palermo, Italy between 20th and 22nd of June 2018, where they have presented a paper entitled “Spatial heterogeneity in principal component analysis: a study of deprivation index”. This paper was presented during a session for Spatial Economic Data Analysis on June 20th.
The Conference was scheduled to present a novel application for novel multivariate indicators of disparities in the European Union, particularly in Italy. The audience appreciated the nature of the application and the methodological contribution to the aims of the project. The conference provided feedbacks to the preliminary works of WP3 and promoted activities linked to other Partners. Additionally, during the session as well other sessions of the Conference, many contribute in the field of spatial economic data analyses were presented and they were strongly linked to WP3.
